that may help you now:
Registration
and Login Questions
- Expired Link
- This error message appears when
you click an activation link you
have already used from an old
email. Delete that email, and from
now on, use https://bd.com/LearningCompass to log in.
- Not Permitted to Register
- This error message appears when
you attempt to register using a
personal email address in the
customer-only web sites. Select
Learning Compass from the first
drop-down list at the top.
- If you are a traveler, contractor,
student or otherwise do not have
an email account issued by a BD
customer facility, you must use https://bd.com/LearningCompass to register and log in.
Select "Other" or
"Student" as your user
type.
- You must see the words "BD
Learning Compass" in the
Welcome
message to be in the right place
for login.
- No Activation Email Received?
- Did you Qualify for
Automatic Approval?
- Customers:
- Your account is
automatically approved
and the system sends
an activation email to the email
address you entered
immediately if:
- You registered
with a valid work email
address,
and
- You selected Customer in
the User Type
field, and
- You selected your
facility from the
drop-down list,
and
- Your email address
is recognized by
the system
- Traveler, Agency,
Contractors and other
non-direct
employees
- Your account is
automatically approved
and the system sends
an activation email to the email
address you entered
immediately if:
- You registered
with a valid email
address,
(agency, personal,
gmail, yahoo, and
any other email
account is
eligible here),
and
- You selected Other in
the User Type
field, and
- You selected your
facility from the
drop-down list
- Any other setting
will require
manual approval.
- Student
- Your account is
automatically approved
and the system sends
an activation email to the email
address you entered
immediately if:
- You registered
with a valid email
address,
(educational
institution,
personal, gmail,
yahoo, and any
other email
account is
eligible here),
and
- You selected Student in
the User Type
field, and
- You selected your Educational
Institution from the dropdown
list
- Did you Qualify for
Automatic Approval?
- If you did not receive your Activation Email within
20 minutes after you
registered, the email may have
been sent to your
bulk/junk/spam folder. Please
check with your IT department
on the spam filtering process,
and make sure they accept
emails from noreply@bd.com, cpsupport@bd.com and LearningCompass@bd.com.
- If you did not Quality for
Automatic Approval
- If any of the above
requirements are not met, your
account will be placed in a
manual review status.
- Couldn’t Find your Facility
or Educational
Institution? If you
typed your
facility or educational
institution name and address,
our agents must update your
account manually.
- When you register during our
business hours, we usually
approve your registration
within the same day.
- Outside of our business hours
and on the weekends, approval
can take up to one business
day.
- Did you miskey your email address? If so, the activation email cannot be delivered. Please re-register with the correct email address.
- Mail.Mil or Navy.mil email account users: The link in the Activation Email doesn’t work.
- Your employer has implemented
a security policy that
replaces the beginning part of
the web address with “ Caution-https: //eim.carefusion.com…”
- Highlight and copy the activation web
page
address (press Ctrl-C)
starting with https: // part (with no spaces…we only
typed a space here so you can
see it and your server won’t
“correct” it), open a browser,
click into the address bar,
and press Ctrl-V to paste the
rest of the activation web
address right after it, with
no spaces.
- Be careful to highlight the
whole activation message; it
can appear to be 3 lines long.
Remove any extra spaces that
your email service
inserted.

- Your employer has implemented
a security policy that
replaces the beginning part of
the web address with “ Caution-https: //eim.carefusion.com…”
- Can’t Register or log in with Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and other email addresses not issued by a customer facility
- Learning Compass participates in the BD Customer single sign-on environment, which provides services to validated customers. You will not be permitted to access these reserved areas.
- For you to have full access to Learning Compass, please register only at our special link: https://bd.com/LearningCompass. The registration screen must say Learning Compass in the top drop-down list.
- If your facility does not
issue a work email address,
select Other or Student when
registering instead of
Customer.
- Important: Select your
facility or Educational
Institution from the drop-down
list.
- You will still have access
to the end user tutorials
for all the products.
- To access advanced content
and other BD Customer
Service applications, you
will
need to use an email
account that has your
employer’s email domain.
- Contact us at LearningCompass@bd.com if you need to
upgrade your account to a
full Customer account.
- Generic Account Users:
- Learning Compass only lets one
person at a time log in with a
given account. If a subsequent
person logs in, the other user
will experience an error that
a peer has cancelled their
session.
- It’s easy for your users can
get valid certificates in
their own names with minimal
data entry: we can help by
pre-loading users. Search for
“Import” inside Learning
Compass for more details on
how to submit a list of users.
Make sure to discuss that
option with your support agent
when we respond.
- Educators: You can now make
assignments to your audience
and track their progress.

- Learning Compass only lets one

- Some users have reported
Single Sign-on errors. This
happens when information is
missing from your profile.
- This can happen if you
registered before 2017, and
Learning Compass needs more
information from you, or if
your account has a new number
in the system.
- If you experience this error,
please let us know which job
title and to which facility
you should be associated.
- Let us know if all the users
at your facility have a new
email address. We can
fix that proactively for your
colleagues if we know the old
and new email address, and the
required date of the change.
- Some users have reported
Single Sign-on errors. This
happens when information is
missing from your profile.

Certificate FAQ
- Flash Player
Ending Support by Adobe in
2020 - Browsers in 2019
- We are aware that the browser
developers (Microsoft Internet
Explorer, Google Chrome, Apple
Safari, Mozilla Firefox and more)
are blocking and ending support
for Flash content now, in
anticipation of Adobe ending
support for Flash in 2020.
- We are in the process of
converting all our courses to
eliminate Flash content by the end
of 2019. We are prioritizing with
our current and most popular
courses first, followed by legacy
content that is not as widely
used.
- We will post the SCORM versions as
each new updated item is
released. This process is
ongoing now. The system may send
you emails when your curricula are
updated. Pyxis ES v1.5, Pyxis ES
v1.4, Pyxis ES v1.3x, Pyxis 4000
are updated now.
- A few items from Py
- If you have SCORM you downloaded
from the old Customer Learning
Portal before June
1, 2017, please see Help >
SCORM Content, register for the
curricula you are using, and
complete Section 1 so you get the
notices as each group of items is
released.
- Pop-up Blocker
- BD Learning Compass, like most
learning management systems, uses
pop-ups to open courses. We have
posted instructions for several
browsers on our support site: https://gcses.teamwork.com/support/#articles/3701/how-do-i-fix-the-pop-up-blocker-to-allow-the-course-to-open
- Course opens to blank page or
endless spinning circle.
- If you are using an older course
that has not been updated to HTML5
yet, you may still need to force
your browser to use Adobe Flash
Player.

- Incomplete Course after
Passing Assessment.
- Make sure you complete all the
sections in the
curriculum. Read and mark each
"Note" Complete to get credit for
each section. Check the first Note
in the first section at the top,
too.
- Check Pop-up blocker: Make sure
you allow ALL Popups from
https://bd.csod.com.
- PC Users, when instructed to close a course using the
red X in the upper right corner of
the window, this refers to the
whole browser window that popped
open to play the course.
- If you use a Mac, when
instructed to close a
course using the red X in
the upper right corner of the
window, Mac users must use the red
dot in the upper left corner of
the browser window to close the
course.
- Make a screen shot of your passing
quiz score and send that to us so
we can mark you complete manually
if need be.
- To PRINT OUT YOUR CERTIFICATE from a web-based online course, please
visit Learning > My
Learning to view your active
transcript.
- If the course is in your Active transcript, you have not
completed all the required
elements in your course.
- If you passed the quiz and it
didn't mark complete, send us
a screenshot of your
completion page in the course
so we can manually mark that
complete that for you.
- If it happens a lot, check
your pop-up blocker to make
sure you ALWAYS allow popups
from bd.csod.com
- Click the Active button and change to Completed.
- Click on the drop-down list on the
right side of the curriculum or
web-based course you completed to
display your certificate or view
your Completion page.
- If your web-based course is part
of a Curriculum, you will not see
a certificate separately.
- Float over the dark bar at the top
of the certificate page to display
the print/download icons.
- Click the Download icon to save
your certificate on your computer
as a PDF. That makes it easy
to email to your educator.
- Respiratory Courses Not Found:
- BD Learning Compass serves users
of Pyxis, Alaris, MedMined, Cato,
Pharmogistics, IV Prep, Arctic Sun
(TTM) and other BD
products and services.
- The Respiratory business has moved

- Using Courses in Your Own LMS.
- If you would prefer your users to take tutorial courses from inside your own Learning Management System (such as HealthStream, Saba, Cornerstone, NetLearning, etc.), we have a way to do that:
- SCORM Download. Basic
tutorials for many products
are available in SCORM 1.2
format and available for
download.

SCORM Content for detailed
instructions.
- Assigning Courses in Learning Compass.
